Creative Inspiration. As a part time freelancer, I appreciate the freedom of selectively choosing projects, working on subjects that interest, challenge and inspire me. Thankfully my day job is as a designer, but much of that work is restricted by policies and standards. And so I happily welcome the creative autonomy of an occasional freelance project.

Philosphy. "Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on Simplicity." This quote from Plato reflects my principle design philosophy. It's repeatedly proven that simplicity in design is the key to successfully reaching an audience. If well executed, a clean and simple approach can have the highest impact.

Clientele. Over the years, I’ve worked on projects with companies and organizations like the American Bald Eagle Foundation, Alaska Weddings, KFNX Talk Radio, Golden North Salmon Derby, Islands and Beyond, Animal Coaching, and Kinesphere Studio. Visit my portfolio to see a few examples.

Time to Refine? As they say, first impressions are everything. What impression is your identity giving? It all comes down to the message you want to convey. If you suspect your current brand is weak, consider refining it to express a stronger, tighter, more professional presence. If you lack an identity or web site, sometimes it’s best to start with a blank slate!

Personal 411. Lastly, if you're cme with my first coho of the yearurious Talonabout my background... I was born in Alaska and raised all over the state, mostly in Haines. I attended design school in Tempe, Arizona and have a B.A. in Visual Communications. After working on design teams at Intel and a Target Corporation merch rep, I moved back to Alaska. I live on Douglas Island (across the channel from Juneau, Alaska) with a cute ski bum and our handsome & talented Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Talon.
